808D Retrofit Kits

Product Description

This Pre Built Siemens 808D Advanced CNC Kit is for a basic 3-axes milling machine or 2 axis lathes Kit components include Siemens CNC Display/Control (PPU) Machine Control Panel (MCP), (3) Siemens Drives & Servo Motors with cable sets console type enclosures, control components, (2) Power supplies control transformer output and safety relays lackable rotary disconnect, resettable breakers for circuit protection, multi cable thru gland and MPG pendant with handwheel.

Servo motors are rated for 4,6,7.7,10Nm of continuous torque. One motor comes with a brake which is typically used for the Y-Axis on a horizontal machine or Z-Axis on a vertical machine. MTP Starter Prints, PLC Code and MTP Commissioning Manual also come with this kit. Our CNC Kits are some of the easiest to install and configure in the industry. Mount the unit, set a few parameters and you are ready to go. Setup time typically a day after hardware is mounted on the machine. PLC code is pre-written and will work for most basic milling and turning machine applications.

We have also included specific User POU where additional PLC code can be written for machine specific applications, like a tool changer. If you are not proficient in ladder, or simply don’t have the time to commission the system for your specific application ask about our Integration Services.

Customised retrofit solutions

Siemens SINUMERIK 808D offers a calculation accuracy in the nanometer range – far beyond what even a high-end machine tool can achieve. It also feature an intelligent jerk limitation function. This
bellprofile acceleration characteristic not only guarantees smooth path behavior, but also reduces the stress on the mechanical system of the machine. As a result, SINUMERIK 808D guarantees maximum workpiece precision.

Technology Cycles for Milling

When it comes to drilling and milling operations, SINUMERIK 808D is a top performer. Boring, centering, drilling, thread milling, pocket machining are no problem! There is even a machine cycle to support parameter input for high-speed mold & die applications. For turning a wealth of functions are available, such as machining standard contours, grooves and thread undercuts, cutting of various thread types — and even a powerful contour stock removal cycle. These cycles allow the optimum performance to be obtained from turning machines with just a few parameter settings.

Operator Friendly CNC Programming

Siemens SINUMERIK 808D offers the common ISO code programming language. This allows operators familiar with other ISO-based CNC systems to quickly make a transition to SINUMERIK 808D. In addition to the standard G codes, such as G01, G02, canned cycles like G81 or G74 are also available. If an operator requires more technological features, the standard ISO codes can be mixed with high-level SINUMERIK CNC commands.

PC-Style File Handling

With SINUMERIK 808D part programs in a linear memory and names in the form of cryptic numbers are thing of the past. Part programs can be allocated meaningful names and the CNC memory can be
easily structured by using sub-folders — just the same as for a PC.
